Frequently asked questions

Nothing is taken, because we never asked for a card. If you want to carry on, choose Standard or Premium in the app and pick up where you left off. If not, you owe nothing.

  • The customers, appointments and certificates from your trial stay in your account
  • Pay monthly, or pay for the year and get 12 months for 11
  • No contract. Cancel from the subscriptions page and it runs to the end of the period you have paid for

Sign up, add your company details, then create a test customer or your first real job. You do not need every customer imported before you try it on a sweep.

For help, email your logo, contact details, payment details or customer list to info@sweepcertificates.co.uk.

  • Try a customer and appointment straight away
  • Use the app on site when you are ready
  • Add branding yourself or let us help
  • Bring customers across now, later, or one at a time

Bring customers across even if they are not in a tidy spreadsheet:

  • Email us a spreadsheet, old export or customer list and we can help format it
  • Use the self-service import if you prefer to do it yourself
  • Add customers manually as you book work in
  • Photograph paper certificates in the app and review the details before saving
  • Use due dates for reminders and repeat bookings

Yes. The customer list is yours. Download it as a spreadsheet from the customers page whenever you like. You do not need to ask us first.

  • Your customers and their details in one spreadsheet, ready for wherever you go next
  • No contract and no exit fee
  • Certificates you have sent are already in your customers' inboxes, and in your Sent Items if you send from your own email

They stay put. The customer list, appliance history and past certificates you build up over the years are part of what you sell. Add the new owner as a user, hand over the subscription, and they carry on with the full history.

  • Message every customer to introduce the new sweep
  • The new owner sees who is due and when, from day one
  • A paper diary retires with you. This does not

Most now expect one. A paper certificate goes in a drawer and is lost by the time the insurer or the landlord asks for it. A digital certificate sits in their inbox for as long as they need it.

  • Sent by email, or WhatsApp if you use it, before you leave the drive
  • Room for more than a paper pad: appliance details, notes, advice, and prices if you want them shown
  • Your association's layout or your own branding
  • Print one for the customer who still wants paper

Standard replaces the paper pad: certificates and warning notices from the app, customer and appliance records, and a diary. You do the reminding and invoicing yourself. Premium does the chasing for you, and that is where the time comes back.

  • Reminders to book and appointment confirmations go out by email or SMS on their own. SMS is 4.5p a message. WhatsApp is optional and billed by Meta direct. Read about WhatsApp for sweeps
  • Quotes, invoices and payment tracking from the same job
  • Xero, QuickBooks, FreeAgent and Sage sync
  • Three users included, so the office and the van share one diary
  • The difference is £5.50 a month. One customer brought back by a reminder pays for it

No. Your customers pay you the way they do now: cash, cheque, bank transfer or your card machine. We do not sit in the middle of the payment or take a cut of the job.

Yes. On Premium you can turn on Online Booking so customers pick a service and request a slot from a reminder link or your website.

  • You set the driving distance, notice period, weekends and how far ahead people can book
  • Existing customers use reminder links; new customers can use your public booking link
  • Bookings land in your diary, with optional email, app and todo notifications
  • Online booking is £10 per month, with the first calendar month free when you turn it on

Yes. Sweeps use the app on site and the office uses the web, all on the same diary and customer list.

  • Premium includes three users, with four to six users at £29 a month and unlimited users at £34
  • You set what each person can see and do
  • Sweeps have their jobs on the app and it works offline when they have no signal
  • Franchise or subbed sweeps can be added at £10 a month each

The app works offline. Your customer data is already on your phone:

  • Search customers using downloaded data
  • Create certificates offline
  • Everything syncs when you are back in coverage

Yes. Certificates can be sent from your own email address, so:

  • Customers recognise you immediately
  • All certificates are in your Sent Items
  • You keep your professional branding
  • No need to change email providers

Your data is hosted in the UK on Microsoft Azure with bank-level encryption in transit and at rest.

  • Daily backups
  • You control access for staff and permissions
  • GDPR compliant with the right to delete customer records
